Only Flat Roof That is Easy to Repair

A
Topseal roof offers high level security. Once cured the laminate cannot
be cut, or even smashed with a hammer, as the coating is fully bonded
to the deck as part of a monolithic coating. However, unlike other flat
roofing materials, liquid applied GRP systems are easy to repair. In the
very unlikely event of the roof being damaged a repair can be carried
out quickly and cheaply, leaving the roof in perfect condition.

Method.
Using an angle grinder, the damaged area should be abraded to remove the laminate. If necessary, repairs should be made to the decking by replacing the section with new timber. Once the decking is sound, a patch of chop strand mat should be laminated into place to cover the affected area. This should be allowed to overlap onto the existing deck by approximately 50mm. Once cured, the patch can be top coated to match the original laminate. When fully cured, the repair has no joins or welds, therefore providing maximum performance.
