Topseal has been developed in order to provide a high performance alternative to traditional felt roofs. Its performance is such that it should never need replacing, perhaps for the life of the building.If considering an application where only part of the roof is to be replaced, Topseal must still be installed onto a new sound deck, as indicated in the drawing to the right. Where the "old" felt is to join the Topseal care should be taken to ensure that the felt is securely fixed to the laminate to prevent any water ingress.Topseal itself can easily be repaired in the unlikely event of it sustaining damage.
